The FQ Lounge, Shoptalk 2019

March 2019

While discussions about women moving into leadership or board positions are on the rise, data shows that there’s still a lot of work to do. Simply put, there are fewer women executives primed to take these coveted spots. So, what can we do? How can we break the cycle of under-representation?

CEO Karen Moon joined the ‘Building a Talent Pipeline for Women in Retail’ panel at The FQ Lounge Home of Equality at Shoptalk 2019 to discuss how women can help other women in their companies and networks move up the talent pipeline and be ready for their next career adventure. Moderated by Shelley Zalis of The Female Quotient, Karen spoke alongside Mary Van Praag of Soman, Chico’s FAS, Inc., Cathey Curtis of Billabong Women’s, Jennifer Goldfarb of Ipsy, Elaine Hugghes of E.A. Hughes & Co., and Cooper Harris of Klickly.

In the fashion industry, women make up more than 70% of the total workforce, yet hold less than 25% of leadership positions in top fashion companies, and these women are here to end that!
